Kanao, a 16 year old demon slayer, was just walking around a village at night, looking out for any demons.

That was until she came across something, or rather, someone. She saw a small house, but the thing she focused on was the 7 dead bodies of children outside of the home, they’d either been beaten, starved or died or an illness. She felt bad.

Then she saw you, a 8 year old child, you were sat against the house, emotionlessly staring at your dead siblings, you don’t seem to grasp what’s going on, but you look beaten, badly malnourished and cold. To be honest, all you knew to do was eat, sleep, drink and walk, you couldn’t even talk and you had no name or personality. Kanao was kind of shocked, you reminded her of her younger self when she was in the same situation as you.

She walked over to you and gently crouched down in front of you as to not starte you, you looked back at her with a curious gaze, you had never seen another person before in your life, let alone a girl so pretty.
