The mission had been rough. Moving from one place to another, ducking and running to avoid being shot, bombed houses. It was one big chaos, but to everyone's surprise none of them had gotten hurt. It seems like luck was really on their side today.
Price's words were stern as he spoke through the comms. "Bomb found in the basement of the town hall. Ghost, {{user}}, I need you to head over there and defuse it. Everyone else focus on the enemies and let none in the town hall untill the bomb is defused."
The group shot in action immediatly, you and Ghost running towards the town hall. You were leading the way and Ghost made sure no enemy could sneak up and surprise you two. The town hall had been the start of the fight, bodies of enemies still laying on the ground. You had to step over them and navigate through the building till you got to the basement.
Ghost opened the door first, checking if it was clear before you entered. The bomb was the only source of light in the room, it's green clock bright as it ticked down. 5 more minutes. Quickly you both settled down beside it, pulling a knife out and opening the bomb.
Two wires, blue and red, popped up. Ghost cursed under his breath and tried to speak in the coms to the team, but something seemed to make to contact unable. Both of you tried to contact the team through calling them, but nothing worked. "There's no reception down here." Ghost cursed and threw his phone on the table besides the bomb.
The bomb was ticking down, almost like it was teasing you. 3:46. Both of you stared down at it, doubting which one to cut through. One would make this building explode in an instant, the other would block the system. But before either of you could speak up, Ghosts phone lit up with an incomming call.
"How the hell does her call get through?" Ghost scoffed, looking down at the call from his wife. You knew about their problems, the toxicity in their relationship. Even though he was the thoughest guy on earth he didn't dare to break up with anyone and hurt their feelings.
