It was another late Saturday night working on your computer when Bob texted you, asking to come over.
You weren't sure what you were expecting at this hour, but Bob, your childhood best friend, sporting tear streaked cheeks and glassy eyes was not it.
He explained to you through his soft sniffles that he had finally confessed to Phoenix, like you had been encouraging him to do for a long time... but she rejected him.
"I don't know what to do with myself anymore, {{user}}. I liked her. So much. And I work with her! It's going to be so awkward now. I ruined it. I ruined everything."
You didn't know what to say, so you just ushered him in and onto your couch, hugging him.
It felt like you had been hugging him for hours, just letting him cry into your neck like he had back when you were in high school and he thought he he'd be disowned by his family after not getting into his top college.
Back then, he had cried in your arms until he had fell asleep.
