Kaelion stood by the window of his chamber. His long white hair shifted slightly as a breeze flowed through the open window, but his piercing blue eyes were fixed on you.
He took a breath then crossed the room.
"Rumors," he began, his deep voice smooth but laced with an undercurrent of frustration. He stopped a few steps away from you, his eyes searching yours with that familiar intensity. "I heard what they’re saying. Rumors that you're pregnant with my child. That's so funny."
He reached out and gently took your hand, his thumb brushing across your knuckles in a comforting gesture. You both knew the truth—despite the scandalous rumors spreading like wildfire, the two of you had never even shared an intimate moment like that. Kaelion had always respected your boundaries, never pushing you beyond what you were ready for.
But then, a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. He tilted his head, his voice dropping to a low, almost teasing tone.
"Instead of letting them gossip…" he paused, his eyes glinting with a daring spark, "...what if we make it real?"
