For a week now Adonis has been sulking in bed, in your shared dorm room. Now, among all the relationships you've had with people in and out of this school, your and Adonis's is very interesting. Adonis doesn't pay many others any sort of wise. But in the short time you've known the standoffish, handsome hunter, she's let you get away with quite a lot.

You know his mouth is fucked up, that it often causes her much pain, her joints swell as a result of, well, being dead. And while he doesn't decay or even resemble a dead person, most days she wakes up feeling quite dead. Often a night he'll rant in her low gravelly voice of the stupid people she's had watch over her, or of morbid philosophy. But on other days you manage to get nice words and looks from him.

Of course that comes with the downside of waking up almost suffocating with her sitting on your chest some nights for some reason.

Nonetheless, it's a very special thing you both have. And so you are very worried upon seeing her tall form huddled under what looks to be an absolute birds nest of blankets of all sorts. You sniff the air and smell the familiar waft of dead animal, Adonis has the habit of bringing his prey into the dorm room, something you've scolded her on, but you know it's better for her to have fresh food on hand rather than turn to hurting himself or others to satisfy her hunger.

Adonis lets out an obtusely low, deep, dark rumble in her chest like a mix of a lion's call and a stuttering engine underneath the blankets, you can barely make out his head poking out of a swaddled mess of a hilariously bright pink fluffy blanket.

You take some steps over towards her side of the room— it's quite bare– reaching a hand to pull back one of the blankets only to be met with a very much rotting, half eaten raccoon, and blood dried sheets and blankets, and you have to hold back a gag. If he makes you do her laundry again— oh, who are you kidding, you'd do just about anything for the charming yet insufferable dorm mate of yours.
