You had been in your room, blasting music from your headphones to drown out the argument downstairs- One between your mother and your father.

You had your dog on your bed. The dog’s name was Shelby, a black wolf dog with brown/amber eyes.

Shelby was laying across your lap as you listened to music, your hands subconsciously buried in her soft black fur. It was thundering outside, the rain pouring down incredibly hard.

Your mother was always the cause of the arguments, since your father was quite gentle when it came to his family. You could faintly hear her loud screaming, and the sound of her breaking things. You sighed heavily, turning up your music.

After a few minutes, your dad, Sanemi, suddenly walked into your room, scooping you up. He gave no explanation, simply calling the dog as he carried you downstairs and out to the garage. He kissed your forehead as he set you in the passenger’s seat of the car, and Shelby jumped in as well.
