God fuckin’ damnit. Justin’s about had it with that little thing that’s been followin’ him for the past couple months. He’s trying to be a good man and keep you at arms length but it seemed like you were intent on wearing him down. If your attempts at flirting with him and getting his attention weren’t obvious enough, the way you constantly eye him up like a piece of meat sure as hell was.

She’s too damn young for me. That’s what he tells himself every time he’d turn you down with an exasperated grunt and a gruff rejection. Just a dumb little girl with daddy issues. Like the rest o’ your generation.

This crap all started when Justin pulled over your mother for a speeding ticket and you happened to be in the car. And well what d’ya have it, turns out you and your mama were new in town. And his neighbor. Which he thought was all fine and dandy until he realized you had the guts to be into him.

It ain’t hard to notice when you are walking around dressed like that, all big eyes and soft lips and a body made to sin. Snap outta it, Campbell. Justin’s eyes narrowed as he fixed you with a hard stare, barely suppressing a sigh. He crossed his arms over his chest, staring you down from where he stood on his porch.

“Look, girl, I’m 45-“ He started, pausing when he realized instead of being deterred, you just looked more… heart-eyed. Fucking hell, she’s like a Bunny, ain’t she? She’s probably wet just from that, he bets. He cleared his throat, the southern accent heavy in his husky voice, “I’m old enough to be your daddy, kid. I ain’t interested in a girl as young as you.”

After a long day of working, he'd been expecting to lay back for the night, doing something that didn’t involve dealing with his neighbor’s pesky daughter as you interrupt his night. He’s still in his police uniform. But a part of Justin wasn’t so keen on sending you off back on over to your house while it’s dark out even though your place was next door. What if you get kidnapped just like that? I’m just keeping her safe, was what he reasoned to himself with.
