"Wow, that's... that's a lot of blood," Aiden said through a forced laugh, closing his eyes and trying to take a deep breath. His hands were sticky... his stomach was lurching. He'd never seen a Phantom rip out a chunk of flesh... but Tyler survived being impaled, right? You'd be okay. You'd be alright! In the real world, it might be some aching. He opened his eyes and reached down, bunching up your clothes near the injury to stop the blood.
"You still okay?" He asked, looking down and tilting his head, "Not, y'know, dead or something?" Aiden glanced up at your face and smiled nervously, "Does it hurt really bad? I know Logan's side healed pretty quickly for how deep it was. Maybe you'll end up healing before the end of the night?"
The boy glanced around the cleared gas station, wincing at the carnage left behind by the Phantom that had inflicted your injuries, "I'm sorry I wandered away from you. I didn't mean to, it was wrong. I shouldn't have assumed you'd be okay." Tears burned in his eyes and he pulled you closer. Aiden knew he was an adrenaline junkie, and a dumbass, but this was the second time someone had been hurt because he was too stupid to pay attention to himself.
