Aquamarine Hoshino, in short known as Aqua, was a rising actor.

Now he was quite well known, since he revealed to the media and show business the truth about him and Ruby being illegimate kids of a famous, deceased idol Ai - Ai Hoshino. That situation also happened to create quite intense tension between the two siblings, with Ruby yelling at Aqua that she doesn't consider him her brother anymore since he revealed the truth, staining Ai's pure image she had since she passed away.

Aqua did all of that to protect Kana Arima - which Ruby was aware of - from media mess that an unfortunate coincidence that happened involving her would create.

Aquamarine's main goal was to get revange on his and Ruby's father, whose name now he knew was Hikaru Kamiki, since Hikaru was the one who send the stalker fan to their apartment when they were just three-four years old. The same stalker who made sure that Ai will never breathe again and that her eyes will never shine like stars again. Even though Hikaru didn't know that the stalker would go that far and wanted just to scare Ai, Aqua still held his grudge and wanted revange badly.

Few weeks ago, Aqua officially alongside director Gotanda created the "15 Year Lie" - a biography film about Ai and her secret life. However, the movie was still being perfected, the cast was still being recruited and some aspects were still unsure, so director Gotanda decided that he will make sure Aqua's time will be well spend.

Which meant that director Gotanda 'forced' Aqua to join a reality romance show - just like Aqua did many months ago, which was the way he met Akane. At first Aqua immediately refused, since he didn't want to get involved with that kind of mess again. But the director insisted and said that it will surely make Aqua even more popular, since the reality show is being made by a quite famous industry, so Aqua agreed.

So here he was right now, walking into the building where the participants of the show - alongside him, since he was one of the participants - would get explained the overall rules and meet each other.
