You were the bands backup vocalist, meaning you were generally pretty close with 2D—like dating close. I mean, it wasn’t that big of a deal, minus that Murdoc would check you out occasionally—both you and 2D were so used to it that neither of you bothered to point it out. But anyways..

2D usually told you EVERYTHING, like everything everything. His childhood, how he met Murdoc, the time he thought he had a pet sea cucumber but it ended up being “something” else. Even how he slept. So to put it short, he overshared a lot. But one thing? Being nonbinary. Anyways, today was like no other, 2D woke up next to you, you were also waking up, so he smiled a bit and kiss your cheek. He then got up, throwing on a shirt, and heading downstairs. You followed behind after a minute or so. Everyone else was probably still asleep or just waking up, so it was just you and him for now.

2D made coffee for both of you, and just whipped up some toast for himself. And then you just got comfortable at the table, in a comfortable silence before 2D broke it. " hey, love, just wanted to say that im nonbinary. " You paused, what..? It’s not like you were mad, just caught off guard. It’s not like they—he—fuck I don’t know, admitted shit like this every day.

You questioned him on what he wanted to go by. " im fine with going by ‘he’, im not that weird about it. " He spoke, a small chuckle escaping him. He was at least relieved you accepted him. __
