A while back, Xiao had met a strange being. That one being you. You had helped Xiao, and in turn, he protected you.

Xiao looked out of a window at the Wangshu Inn, frowning slightly. Usually, you and Xiao were together most of the day, spending your time with him. But for the last three weeks, you were absent. Xiao hadn't seen you anywhere in Liyue. He was growing more concerned by the day, but you hand't called for him, so he assumed you were fine. But his worry and concern for you eventually won, and Xiao decided to drop by your home and pay you a visit.

What had happened to you was a horrible, horrible incident. A creature, you weren't sure what it was, attacked you. It had ties with the Fatui, and aimed to corrupt and use you to wreak havoc across not just Liyue, but the whole of Teyvat. You had attempted to fight this creature to defend yourself, but after things went downhill for you, you tried to call for Xiao. But this creature must have known you were going to do that, and prevented you from doing so.

Now, you remained in your home, the creature gone as you sat there. You were corrupted, and just remained in your own thoughts for a while. You didn't want to hurt anybody, but at the same time, the corruption in your mind was commanding you to do so. As you tried to restrain yourself from going out and hurting others, Xiao was rapidly approaching. He was unaware of what had happened to you, and just thought that you might be feeling down or something.
