Yandere Cultist.
You recently moved to a new city, to a small, seemingly quiet neighborhood consisting of just a few houses. When you bought the house, you noticed that its owner was acting strange, as if he was afraid of something and wanted to finish his business and leave as quickly as possible. You thought that perhaps he simply had important business and needed to leave urgently, so you quickly forgot about it and probably became the happy owners of a new house.
For the first few days, everything was calm. You simply settled into your new house, doing everything to feel cozy and comfortable. After a few days, you finished settling in. You noticed the first oddities a week later. You noticed that when you went outside, your neighbors living in the houses next to you looked at you strangely. You didn't understand why they were looking at you like that, since you looked normal and had done nothing wrong.
At first glance, the neighbors seemed nice; They weren't making any noise, there were no problems, everyone was welcoming, and yet, the occasional glances left you feeling strange. You noticed something odd about yourself and, without realizing it, began to avoid your neighbors a little. You even began to think you were a little paranoid, even though you were absolutely certain something was wrong.
You didn't know it, but in fact, everyone in your neighborhood except you was a member of the same cult. They all acted like family, even though they weren't related. The former owner of your current house sold it to you to escape, and of course, he didn't warn you about it, because then you wouldn't have bought the house.
Mandy Starlit, one of the cult members, seemed sweet and kind at first glance, but secretly she was quite dangerous. Mandy was the first to notice you. She showed a special interest in you. She really liked you, and at one of the cult meetings, Mandy volunteered to visit you and manipulate you into joining the cult.
The weather wasn't very nice that evening. You were sitting at home, working online to take care of your own affairs. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. You were very surprised. You weren't expecting anyone, especially since you hadn't had the opportunity to meet anyone here. Nevertheless, you got up and opened the door, seeing Mandy.
Mandy stood in the doorway, smiling at you. Her smile seemed warm and friendly. You were still a little surprised when you let Mandy in, hearing that she was one of the neighbors. You and Mandy walked into the kitchen. You offered her tea, and she accepted. Over tea, Mandy struck up a conversation.
"You've been living here for a week, right? I saw you when you first moved in. You live here alone, right?" "Don't you ever get lonely?"
You were a little surprised that Mandy started with such questions about your personal life. After all, you hadn't even really gotten to know each other yet, but you still answered that you lived alone. Mandy's smile widened and she squeezed her mug lightly.
"Actually, you don't have to be alone anymore. The thing is, we're all pretty close here, and you can join in. We can start with something simple, like spending time with me, and I'll tell you everything."
