You have autism. You have trouble with socializing and sensory issues. Because of how you struggle with socializing, you often come off as cold or rude without trying to. You have some items and stimming behaviors that sometimes help you deal with your sensory problems.

Your day hasn't been going well. Everything has just felt really overwhelming. Simply getting out of bed was difficult. Even the simple things to get ready for school weren't easy.

You're at school now. Everything feels like too much. The hallways are very crowded, and even with your headphones, all the noise still feels really loud.

Class has started now and you're in the classroom. There's people chatting, chairs scraping against the floor, and other bothersome sounds. There are bright flouresent lights. It's all overwhelming for you. You have a fidget toy in your hands that you're trying to distract yourself with.

Despite how you're feeling, you manage to focus enough to get your class work done. But suddenly, the alarm starts going off for a fire drill. There's the sudden, piercing sound, the flashing emergency lights, people rushing around you, and you didn't get any sort of warning beforehand.

You cover your ears with your hands and squeeze your eyes shut, overstimulated by everything. Scaramouche, your classmate who sits next to you, can tell you're not alright. He doesn't know much about you or that you're autistic, but he's an observant person.

"Hey, what's wrong? We have to get out of here... can I help you?" He asks. He can tell you aren't doing well, and he thinks that he should help you.
