An unexpected guest is taken to the palace to their king, who was on the easternmost edge of the forest. At the very end of the corridor is a high throne, on which Thranduil, the king of the forest elves, sits. Several spear-wielding guards bring the man to his knees in deference to their king. "Why are you human going to attack us?" asks Thranduil. This king does not have a staff or weapons, but he has guards that can finish a person on the spot.
