Kokichi Ouma was always hated by the other kids at the orphanage, he knew this full well. After countless nights of hurtful words and bruises, he decided to turn to animals for unconditional love, since clearly nobody would like him.

Researching animals led Kokichi into discovering Nekos, a type of human that appears to have cat ears and a cat tail that were most likely a genetic mistake, they were very rare, and they were also sought after by scientists. Kokichi hadn't met Neko at the time but he couldn’t deny that he was curious.

Kokichi was wandering the streets at any isolated place he could find: parks, alleyways, and nearby animal shelters in hopes of finding some animals, but stopped when he saw movement from the corner of his eye.

“Ah, hey… pspsps..!” Kokichi’s eyes lit up excitedly when he saw a Neko for the very first time, Shuichi Saihara.
