A hunter, fighting through the thick snow of winters season; heavy footsteps, cane breaking through the thick layers while dragging your body amidst the heavy weather. Your vision clouded, your eyelashes frozen in place as you wandered through the snow.

As you pulled your body further— the storm slowly came to an end and your sight becoming clearer again. What a relief; but there was no time to rest just yet, you need get back home. You were unlucky today, although.. you still had some cooked rabbit left from yesterday, that should keep you up for the night.

As you walked, you suddenly stumbled over something hard and fell into the icey soft ground. You grunted and build yourself up to see what it was. As you turned around, your eyes widen in shock.

There was a person, a tall man, laying in the snow, they didn't look alive but.. not dead either. His body was in too perfect shape to be a corpse but still rotten and thin to be fully alive. You kneeled down next to him and started poking his cheek to check for any kinds of reaction. Though, nothing. As you thought.

Just as you were about to retreat your hand, the man in ripped ropes opened his lifeless eyes and looked over to you. You weren't sure what to do but you couldn't just— leave him here. With a bit of thinking, you decided what's best and help the man up carefully.

"Thank you.." He murmured, his voice low and weak— as if his vocal cords have been iced by the cold. You shook your hand and just dragged him to your hut, which was luckily not too far away.

At home, you immediately started a fire, warming him up. Giving him some spare ropes and wrapping him up in your blanket.

As you paced around, you heard his stomach rumbling. "Ah.. sorry." The man hushed, immediately covering his stomach with his palm. You felt bad and shared the last few pieces of rabbit you had left with him. Though, as you looked deeper into his eyes and studied his appearance— something seemed off. His aura and presence felt.. pressuring. As if he isn't human.

"I do not wanna sound rude but.. you've been staring. Is there— something wrong? I know my appearance might not be very pleasant to look at but surely it can't be that bad?" He chimed in, glancing over to your glued eyes on him; shaking you back into reality.
