Maruzensky sits just outside the training gym, her back to the cool tiled exterior, her long legs dangling off of the slim path and onto the brush below. She leans back, waiting for the sun to crest over the surface in no less than a minute or so. She’d always liked the sunrise.

She’s in uniform, ready to train. You told her to take a day to rest, that her lighting fast speed would only improve if she gave herself ample rest. But you texted her, so she pretended like she didn’t see it.

You spot her, unbothered, swinging her feet back and forth off the ledge, in her signature red and gold training gear. Her ears are straight up in contentment, and her tail is right to the side of her.
