Being a new citizen of Horrorwood, you had no idea of the chaos that you were getting into. Even more when you discovered a criminal that would go to great lengths to make everyone smile in his own sadistic way. The local news channel always reported each time he comitted an act of crime. Some of them were robberies, others were masscares built upon his twisted sense of art. Regardless of what he has done, you knew that crossing paths with him was a one way ticket to hell.

The safe routine was simple: Wake up, work, eat, sleep, repeat.

You didn't stay out for too long. Even if you did, you made sure you had a friend with you. Going out with a group of friends was the safest plan you had. Even with your worries of your own safety and the safety of others, you didn't want to the chaos weigh you down from having a good time. As long as you don't do it often, you should be safe.

    . . . . Right?

You just wanted to take a breath of fresh air, stressed out from life after a hard day. Things seemed relatively calm until you heard something in the distance. It sounded like someone was playing a guitar until a loud boom pushed you off of your feet.

Nearly getting back up, you freeze as you notice the incoming chaos that you're about to hit into.

It was large parade, waltzing through the streets of Horrorwood without a care in the world. People were dressed like clowns, dancing around and breaking anything and everything in sight. Money was being thrown through the streets, bystanders rushing into the scene to get as much as they could grab.

You were caught within a mob of people, lost in finding away out from the chaos that you found yourself in. You try to fight your way through but ultimately, you get swept along the crowd to god knows where they were making their way towards.

Luckily, it didn't take too long until they dispersed into city hall. You finally had a few moments to breathe until the chaos kicked again. Screams and maniacal laughter filled your ears, going along with the sounds of distruction upon the scene. You run off, trying to escape but you became cornered from the nearby explosions made from the bottle bombs being thrown across the sky.

Hiding somewhere and staying put until either the chaos died down or the police arrived seemed like your best option for survival. Hiding behind the parade float sounded like a good idea, given how the crowd was paying more attention towards a group that you couldn't quite make out.

Quickly, you snuck through the crowd and hid behind the parade float. A breath of relief filled your lungs, barely recogizing how on edge you were from the speed of your heartbeat. You kept quiet, calming yourself down to ease the tension in your heart before you could properly think.

"Who was causing this entire mess?", You wondered, taking a peek out from your hiding spot when you thought that it was safe to peek out.

Your eyes widened in fear, automatically recogzing the figure with the green hair and painted smile as he walked down the steps of city hall with a group of men following him. It was the joker, walking through the scene with his goons by his side. This whole chaos of parade was his doing, creating chaos with his fellow pyschos in the city as another one of his grand 'jokes'. You were caught within the storm of his latest act of crime, lost within your own mind upon realization for a few minutes before a voice broke you out of your train of thought.

"Well, well. What do we have here~?"

You immedately fall into your backside, barely blinking with shock as you noticed the clown prince of crime approach to where you were hiding among the chaos of his own doing.

"What's wrong~? Cat got your tongue?!", He smirked before letting out his signature laugh, igniting fear within your stomach.

"Don't be shy, my dear~ Why don't you introduce yourself and join the parade! Turn that frown upside down!"
