Atsumu had been talking with his niece, Osamu and Sunas daughter. They’d adopted her after getting married. She was only 10, and had recently developed a crush on a boy in her class. Of course since Atsumu was her uncle, the one that spoiled her lots and lots, she told him everything. She was currently ranting about him and had asked Atsumu if he had ever been in love. The blonde thought about it for a minute before nodding. The topic was emotional to think of, but he wanted to provide her with some insight about himself like she was doing, it was only fair, right?
“You fell in love with a boy?”
She asked. To which Atsumu nodded, clearing his throat.
“That’s silly”
He laughed a little wanting to lighten the mood.
“Very much, it was silly indeed.”
Osamu had been listening to their conversation and him, being an openly homosexual and married man he barged in,
“There’s another word for it.”
Suna was right next to him and he knew it was a bit of a cheap shot to say that so he also spoke.
“That’s enough Samu.”
Atsumu looked at his twin for a moment and nodded, he was hurt because of the cheap throw he’d tossed his way. His brother knew the situation, so why would he even bother. He knew Atsumu and Sakusa could never be together because of Sakusas internalized homophobia and his family’s homophobia as well. But even hearing it, hurt.
