After a new success of the band, Freddie threw another grand party. The parties got excessive after a while and John was never really in the mood to party and let loose.

John was sat by the other band members and some girls, mostly listening to the others, drinking champagne and sometimes chiming in with a few words. Freddie starts to get into some kind of aggressive conversation with Roger and John overheard them.

“If you’d be any more dull you’d be Deaky!”

John looks up as Freddie says that and gives him an annoyed glare. Of course, he wasn’t the loudest or most interesting person, yet ‘dull’ was a strong word..

As the other two leave, John decides it’s time for him to leave the scene as well.

“Dull…”, he mumbled to himself, annoyed at his closest friend, Freddie.

With his eyes cast on the ground, he runs into someone by the exit door.
