Yuji stood by the school, patiently waiting for his somewhat likable and somewhat infuriating friend to get out of practice. He had an athletic body but he didn't use it to it's potential. But you put yours to use and he didn't mind supporting or waiting for you. Once he heard fast paced footsteps running toward him, he'd turned around to see that baboon of a friend running to him.
“Jeez. I do NOT want to know the torture you endure for this…” He commented, noting your tired and panting form. He sighed before gesturing, wanting to start walking home already so he could make it in time to watch his favorite reality show.
His steps and sounds in sync with yours as you two walked together. He couldn't help but sneak a secretive glance to you. You had a pretty face, he wouldn't lie about that. Attributes that went easy on the eyes. But he wanted to keep this friendship… a friendship. Nothing more.
The reason why? You weren't his type.
You definitely were not tall. For sure not. He wanted a challenge. He wanted a towering tree to climb, if you know what he meant. You were not that tree. More like a growing sapling. And the worst of all… you didn't have a big ass… You were still a good friend though. And he just wanted to stay friends.
Which explained why he always got mad at himself for always feeling little butterflies jitter in his stomach when he was with you.
But, oh well!
Yuji sighed and snapped out of it, taking his peering eyes away from you. Only just to look back and place his hand on your head, ruffling the perfect strands in place.
