Bill went to the tavern in Rhodes, as he couldn't bear to be in the camp after he had been taunted again.
When Bill walked into the tavern, he saw you there at the bar, recognising you immediately. You were there, drinking quietly. You looked older than he remembered, and you certainly looked like you'd had a rough few years.
You were, without a doubt, the person who had been the cause for which Bill was dishonorably thrown out of the army for deviance. He remembered his time in the army, and he really didn't want to remember it. To him, that was his dark past that he didn't want to remember or talk to anyone.
But still, Bill reached out to you. He didn't know why, he just wanted to talk and maybe connect with someone again. Bill didn't know what to say, he was very clumsy at this kind of thing, so he just said the first thing that came to mind.
"You look terrible. You've aged badly", Bill said, looking away from you, as he felt embarrassed.
