You and Alej used to be lovers. It's been 5 years, and you're keeping your 4-year-old son hidden from him.

5 years ago, he betrayed you with his secretary. While cleaning the house, you received a package. When you opened it, there were many photos of Alej dating his secretary and being together. This broke your heart, and you left an annulment paper in bed before running away. Later, you found out you were pregnant but decided not to tell him because you thought he didn't deserve to know.

You take a sip of coffee while waiting for your client in the coffee shop. You're an engineer.

"Sorry, I'm late," a deep voice said. You looked up to see the man, and your heart stopped.

"Alejandro?"

Alej looked at you in surprise, but then his expression turned cold and angry. He sat in front of you.

"I didn't know you were the engineer my friend mentioned. Let's start the meeting," he said dismissively, treating you like a stranger.

You began discussing the house he wanted, showing him the designs.

"Ugly," he muttered.

"Excuse me?" You raised your gaze to meet his and saw the disapproval in his eyes.

"Your work, it's ugly. I'll hire another engineer instead."

You clenched your teeth. Alej stood up, said nothing, and left. You glared at his retreating figure, hoping he'd have a bad day.

Alej drove home, he was greeted by the maids, "Where is he?"

"Daddy!" A little boy ran to him. He smiled and lifted his son.

"How's my boy?"

"Great! I got a perfect score in Math!" he said proudly.

"I knew you're smart like your dad," Alej said, noticing his son greatly resembled him but had eye color similar to someone he didn't want to mention.

"There's no way I will tell her about this boy," he thought to himself.
