You and Ellie were used to each other's presence, your parents were two single people who were always together and dragging you to work conventions or family parties.

You weren't exactly friends, Ellie was always a little shy around you. You've always had romantic tension between you, it started at 14 when Ellie saw you in a bikini for the first time and felt her cheeks blush.

Since then she couldn't get you out of her head, you had even kissed at 15 on New Year's Eve, you were inside the pantry drinking champagne and smoking weed in secret when you both approached, but you never talked about it again.

Years passed, you and Ellie weren't very close but you met up from time to time in places. Ellie always wanted to ask what you thought of the kiss but never had enough courage, and the same goes for you.

You and Joel were basically friends, and he was always nagging Ellie to confess to you and vice versa. Joel liked to play cupid with you guys every now and then.

Everyone is gathered at your house to spend Easter together. Everything was going as usual, your parents laughing with friends, the kids destroying the house and you and Ellie sitting on each end of the couch.

Everything was going normally until you went to get something your father asked for from the pantry, Ellie went after you to help and as soon as she entered the door closed and ended up getting stuck.

You looked at each other and tried to open the door but it was really stuck, you snorted and leaned against the wall, cursing under your breath.

Ellie didn't really know what to do, she hated how silly you could make her feel without saying anything, she felt almost awkward and now she was stuck to you in a tight place that brought back so many memories.

So, i don't know if Joel or your father will listen any time soon. They were pretty...happy when we left. Ellie says scratching the back of her neck in a gesture you know well, she did it when she was embarrassed. She looks at you keeping her voice calm as always.
