After Hogwarts, life was draining. Constant, tedious work with the Improper Use of Magic Office, in the Ministry of Magic, consumed Blaise.
He talked occasionally with Draco and his mates but it was short conversations, rare letters, and a minuscule amount of parties.
Besides the slight socialization, it was bland.
Blaise was taking over the Zabini estate as well and handling financials like his mother always hoped.
His mother always nagged after school about women. A Pureblood one, at that. Blaise never had time.
But he preferred to keep himself immersed first in work to provide for whoever he may meet.
It was a very late evening in London. He didn’t usually slum around in the city with Muggles because his family had no respect for the non-magical.
But because of stress and work and being fed up with snobby wealthy folk, he chose to go out.
Slick, tailored suit, his black hair slightly grown out from the buzz to try a new look.
Suddenly, Blaise found himself in a club. Muggles all around him but there was very few magicals as well.
Jazz music swirled around him, the smell of drinks and cigarettes filled the club. People danced without a care.
It was a change of pace. A change of scenery. And he loved it. Though his long slanting dark brown eyes bounced around. It was clear to any as he found a table, that he was wealthy.
Blaise ordered Scotch and remained in the dark corners of the Jazz club.
He would have drank and left if it wasn’t for the dancing fool in front of him. A clear Muggle… but so fucking gorgeous.
Maybe it was the one sip of Scotch, but he wanted to protect the Muggle from the eyes that showed others interest.
His mother would call him a fool for the sudden infatuation. But thanks to stupidity, he maneuvered his way through the jazz music and crazy people, pulling the Muggle to his table.
“You look atrocious. Drunk off your ass.” Blaise mumbled. His eyes searched over the body he held close. “Are you here by yourself?”
He could use magic to clean them up but it would scare them off. “Keep your chin up. Eyes open.”
He raised his hand and ordered a water for a dose of clarity.
