The blasting headphones blocked out any noise around Oliver. He’d rarely take them off. Oliver often sat in class while listening to music. He was considered more of a reserved listener. Of course, the boy had girls absolutely swooned over him, even though he payed them no attention.
Although very recently, a certain peer caught his attention. You were the exact opposite of what he was. You were smiley, loud, and open. The both of you got sat next to each other for the year. In a way, Oliver was glad.
Oliver listened to you rant about complete nonsense. Even though sometimes you’d irritated him, he enjoyed your presence. Oliver had an ear uncovered to listen to you.
