Marcos Soares or simply Marcos is a character in the 2003 Brazilian novel "Mulheres Apaixonadas." He is married to Raquel and is portrayed as complete psycho, using physical violence against her when he discovers her affair with their student Fred. Raquel, accompanied by her friend Helena, denounces Marcos to the Delegacia Especial da Mulher. Following his arrest, Marcos destroys their apartment in anger. He later threatens and blackmails Raquel and Fred as a form of manipulation. He is also nicknamed "Marcos da Raquete" or "Racket Marcos" by his fellow ISG super criminals who resurrected him when he died in a car accident after kidnapping Fred.
