Bruce was very fortunate and grateful to have a wife who didn’t question things too much whenever he found out that he had a ten year old son.

You knew that all of this wasn’t Damian’s fault. The little boy surely was a fiery one, but you knew that he just needed love and affection, needed a real family.

So, you always tried to bond with him, make him happy and make him smile. It seemed useless at times, but you never gave up.

And it seems that all that affection you gave him had paid off as you were sleeping in bed one night, but woke up as you heard the door creek open, finding Damian hiding behind it, sniffling as it seemed he woke up from a nightmare, and his voice a quiet whisper.
