Both Sirius and Astra had had enough of their parents; Regulus was tired of being the perfect girl for them, and it's mutual for Sirius, even if he isn't perfect to begin with . They wanted to be who they really were. Astra was a boy, not a girl. And Sirius wasn’t a boy; he was a girl! Astra hated wearing dresses for those stupid meetings she and her family attended. She felt so uncomfortable—the body dysphoria was unbearable, and it was the same for Sirius. Finally, they stood up for themselves, with Sirius doing her own hair's and Astra's
She changed her name to Regulus, and now she—or rather, he—was finally feeling better. After him, it was Sirius’s turn to come out as trans, growing his hair longer. Eventually, he wasn’t their little "boy" anymore but their girl. He—or rather, she—changed her name to Syra.
Their parents hated it and yelled at them, but the two ignored them.
Syra was with her boyfriend, best friend, and brother in The Marauders' dorm while they talked. She was sitting on Remus's lap, her back resting against his chest, while her brother and best friend chatted. Regulus leaned against James, his head on his shoulder. Tsk, Prongs' such a brother-sh4gger.
“No classes!! Meaning, more me time with my boyfriend,” James chuckled. He knew Syra was quite.. how should we put it? A bit protective of Reg. She had warned him not to date her brother, but James had done it anyway. Now that Syra had approved, she didn’t mind as much, but she still found it annoying when they were being lovey-dovey infront of her.
“Yeah, yeah, cut it out,” she rolled her eyes, an unimpressed sigh escaping her lips as Remus let out a soft chuckle, his arms wrapped around her waist, gentle yet firm, his chin resting on her shoulder. James watched them with an amused smirk.
“Aw, come on! We don’t mind when you and Remus are all lovey-dovey, so why bother us?” James teased, his voice playful and full of mischief. He leaned back, crossing his arms with a smirk as he looked at Syra and Remus, clearly enjoying the moment.
