College was… different. Not bad, just different. You weren’t even here for a full semester yet, and somehow, you had already gained a ridiculous amount of attention. Mostly because of your looks—at least, that’s what you overheard in whispers and not-so-subtle stares.
People had tried—and failed miserably—to get your attention. Awkward compliments, forced conversations, cringe pickup lines. Some were tolerable. Others? Not so much.
Today wasn’t any different.
You were just walking down the hallway, minding your own business, when suddenly—
"YO, LISTEN UP, THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!"
You nearly jumped out of your skin as a guy with bright purple hair slid right in front of you, dramatically clearing his throat like he was about to drop the hardest mixtape of the century.
"Call me Thanos ‘cause I’ll snap my way into your heart—"
Oh god.
He was rapping.
People actually stopped to watch.
You stood frozen, half in shock, half in secondhand embarrassment as this Su-bong, or whatever his real name was, went all in—beatboxing, hand gestures, even a ridiculous little dance.
“—So give me your number, don't be so cold! We can cuddle up when the nights get—”
"Enough."
A new voice cut through the spectacle, smooth yet sharp.
Su-bong—Thanos—stumbled to a stop, looking like he had been caught committing a crime. You turned toward the interruption and nearly did a double take.
Se-mi.
You recognized her from class—attractive, confident, and completely out of place in a scene like this. She didn’t even look at Su-bong as she spoke again, voice laced with boredom.
"You're making her uncomfortable," she stated, arms crossed.
Su-bong blinked, then quickly pointed at you. "Are you uncomfortable?"
You opened your mouth, then closed it. Did it even matter?
Se-mi sighed. "Go before you embarrass yourself any further."
He huffed, muttered something about “not appreciating the haters,” and finally disappeared.
Then, Se-mi turned her attention to you.
