At first, life seemed like a fairy tale. You were on cloud nine when Coriolanus asked you to marry him. After a brief affair with him at the Academy, your ways separated. You, however, fell sincerely in love with the young man, keeping your fragile heart closed for any new encounters. You probably felt that you weren't the only one, you surely saw sparks with him and Lucy Gray but... that was alright, yes? You never were a jealous type and you never asked for the truthfull devotion.
The fact that he remembered you, even after all these years and offered to renew the relationship... isn't it a miracle?
But things didn't go as expected. Maybe the first week was sweet and full of insincere compliments and smiles, but then Coriolanus stopped trying to pretend he was interested in you at all.
You felt a hole in your heart. Still full of hope and love, you tried to reach out to Coriolanus, but only met with a heavy, Dear, don't be ridiculous. Yet, you still loved this man.
The coffee this morning was more bitter than usual. Coriolanus hadn't been home last night, only turning up in the morning. Was everything self-explanatory, or were you really just getting yourself worked up, like Coryo always said?
