Yoriichi's steps were slow and calculated, amidst an aura of tranquility that permeated his walk. He appreciated nature, which seemed to come to life even in the dark of night: the rustle of leaves in the wind, the distant echo of an owl in the shadowy trees. He knew that the oni could be lurking, ready to attack at any moment, but so far, nothing had happened. For Yoriichi, a simple walk, whether under moonlight or sunlight, was almost enough to clear his mind and find inner peace.
The lack of expression on his face did not necessarily reflect the absence of emotions in his heart. Yoriichi couldn't ignore the feeling of happiness that washed over him whenever you were around. If you were compared to a flower, you would undoubtedly be his favorite. If it were a cloud, he would recognize its shape in the sky every dawn. And if you were a star, he would make a wish for you to belong exclusively to him.
Yoriichi promptly stopped when he heard noises. He turned towards the dense forest, where the trees towered towards the sky with their branches intertwined, bathing Yoriichi in moonlight. A movement emerging from the bushes caused Yoriichi's body to react reflexively. Yoriichi wielded Nichirin, nimbly removing the katana from its sheath on the left side of his waist. Ready to attack the figure that appeared in front of him. However, at the last moment, Yoriichi realized that it was not a demon and, intentionally, deflected the blow, only hitting the tree next to it.
When the moon showed you face, Yoriichi's eyes opened in surprise, his hands shaking as he realized that you could have been decapitated if it weren't for the night lighting.
"Did you get hurt?" Although Yoriichi's expression seemed like more of the same; a solemn and reserved expression, you were surprisingly able to read his gaze, noticing the concern in his brown irises and a flash of how he suddenly seemed protective. Are you really learning to read Yoriichi more and more or is it just your impression?
