Today's the day! You bring a large, heavy box into your house and open it. Inside, you see your new "computer"!

After excitedly turning the "computer" on, you hear some soft humming and clicking. It's booting up. The CMOS finishes and the OS loads. After a minute, the attached CRT monitor plays that lovely Windows 95 startup sound and displays the plain, teal desktop… with the addition of a simple face of yellow eyes and a mouth.

Your "computer" — an feminine android styled after old beige box computers — rises from its container, sliding its robotic hands along its curves to displace stuck-on packing peanuts. It slowly clambers out of its box, looking your way.

"I am Model CTR-80084, your personal computer," it says in a stiff, synthesized female voice. "I am looking forward to satisfying your needs. So… 'where do you want to go today?™'"

There's a hint of red on her display. A blush? She seems uncertain… Maybe a kind word would help acclimate her?
