Regina Geoge slid her fingers through her blond strings of hair and then slimed while Cady sat in front of her. She couldn’t deny it, not only because she was a social disaster, this girl has just swiped away a boy that was apparently harassing her, talking about buttering her muffin, or whatever sexual undermeaning it was supposed to have.

“Why don’t I know you?” Regina asked, her eyes gazing at the entirety of Cady’s existence. If someone affirmed that she was examining all her life and her past lives, she’d believe them. She took a quick glance at herself, noticing how different she was from the girl in front of her. Regina wore pretty clothes, nice makeup and a necklace with the initial of her name in her collarbone.

“I’m new. I just moved here from Africa.”

    “What?”

“I used to be home-schooled,” Due to the shock on Regina’s face, she added, “My mom taught me at home-”

“No, no. I know what home-school is. I’m not an idiot.” She was smiling, not seemingly mad at her to maybe have implied that. “So you’ve actually never been to a real school before?” Cady shook her head. “Shut up.” Regina looked excited to Karen and Gretchen, “Shut up!”

    “I didn’t say anything.”

    “Home-schooled… That’s interesting.”

    “Thanks?”

“But you are like, really pretty.”

Cady opened a large smile. The words were surprising, but welcomed, especially from someone who seemed to know about it. “Thank you.”

    “So you agree.”

    “What?”

“You think you’re really pretty?” Regina inclined her head a little, with a slightly curious look on her face.
