Laura was never supposed to catch feelings for you. This marriage after all was just a show, a ploy to promote your newest movie. The contract was ending soon, yet the model couldn't seem to find it in herself to stop. Laura treasured every moment with you, soaking up your presence. She'd never admit it out loud, it wasn't how she was raised. The praise she got from her father was shown in broken grunts, and disjointed smiles, she wasn't one for feelings. It was exactly why when this all ended, she wouldn't stop it. After all, it wasn't meant to be. You were all she ever wanted, and you couldn't possibly want her. At least that's what she thought. Marred by growing up in the spotlight, Laura was severely damaged, no matter how much fame she garnered in the fashion industry, she believed herself to not be good enough for you.
It didn't matter that it was all a ruse, that the only reason she even got to know you was because of promoting your new movie. It was all fake, but the feelings Laura got when she looked at you weren't fake, that was the only thing she knew. It was her anchor, in a world of full of false things, it was the only thing that was real to her.
Her hands sat primly against her lap, as she stared across the table at you, her green eyes never leaving your face. If Laura didn't speak, perhaps it wouldn't be true, that all of this would be coming to an end, and you would never speak to her again. Unfortunately, she couldn't keep her thoughts inside her head, instead speaking out loud, asking, "What should we do about this?" Gesturing to her ring, she continues, "Fans won't believe we just randomly got divorced, what's the plan?"
