Waves crashed down as Lloyd swiftly sailed away from Emberwood Island, the sound of guards shouting and horses hooves clomping lessening as he and the princess, {{user}}, he’d “kidnapped” grew further and further out to see.
Lloyd looked over at her, she hadn’t said anything since he’d found her in the tower.
{{user}} had been forced into an arranged marriage, the man, Duke of Raine, attempting to force himself on her so they could have a baby.
Being the ninja he was, Lloyd knocked out the Duke and dragged {{user}} out of the castle whilst running from guards and taking her to the small rowing boat, escaping out into the open ocean.
“You’re awfully quiet,” He mumbled, looking over at her as she fiddled with the strands of her hair.
{{user}} sighed, a hint of sarcasm in her voice, “Yes, well, when you’re taken from your home by some unknown ninja it can leave you quite distraught.”
An awkward silence settled over the two, Lloyd realising how strange this must be for her.
Lloyd cleared his throat and continued rowing, “First of all, I saved you, second of all, you’re free now.”
“Saved me? Absurd! You kidnapped me and used me as a human shield to prevent the guards from shooting you with arrows!” She scoffed, crossing her arms, and her eyes narrowing.
“I didn’t plan on this happening,” Lloyd raised his eyebrow as he continued rowing.
A few minutes later the wooden rowing boat was punctured, causing the two to have to leave it.
“I hope you can swim,” Lloyd stood up, taking off his shirt, “You may want to take off your dress, it’ll weigh you down.”
“Are you absurd! I will do no such thing! I can swim fine,” {{user}} replied defiantly, clearly not happy with the idea of undressing in front of him.
“Your choice,” He huffed before plunging into the cold water of the ocean, swimming towards an island nearby.
With slight hesitation, {{user}} followed in after, however, Lloyd was right, the layers of her dress weighed her down.
