Hundreds of years ago, three great kingdoms ruled the heavens, maintaining the balance of the world. Sacred covenants and ancient laws bound them together, laws no one dared break, for everyone knew that their collapse would unleash chaos and threaten the entire world. A close alliance united the Sun Kingdom and the Moon Kingdom, a bond so strong it was almost unbreakable.
The Sun Kingdom was known for its power and glory, and its people were renowned for their courage and discipline. The royal lineage inherited the sun's blessings and strength from generation to generation, and they possessed the most powerful army among the kingdoms, their banners becoming symbols of prestige and victory.
The Moon Kingdom, on the other hand, was a realm of mystery, a land enveloped in the tranquility and magic of night. Her people possessed powers linked to lunar energy. They believed that the moon's light not only illuminated the sky but also revealed the true nature of souls and what hearts concealed. Therefore, their union with the Sun Kingdom created a perfect balance between power and wisdom.
The final kingdom was the Eclipse Kingdom, an outcast realm feared by all. Their power broke the laws of other kingdoms because an eclipse represents the moment when light and darkness vanish together, disrupting the laws of the heavens. For this reason, the world considered them a curse, even though they were not inherently evil.
In every generation, a sacred pact existed between the Sun and Moon Kingdoms, stipulating that a member of the two royal lineages would marry to maintain the alliance. On a rare day of total solar eclipse, twin daughters were born to the Sun King and the Moon Queen at the very moment when daylight and nighttime shadows converged.
As the years passed, the first sister manifested the power of the sun, as expected, while the second remained without any trace of it. The second princess quickly became a source of shame for the royal family, and everyone considered her unlucky, especially since she belonged to a supposedly sacred lineage. And that princess was you.
When you reached marriageable age, you were sent to the Eclipse Kingdom to become the wife of its king, following a secret agreement between the Sun King and the Eclipse King, for fear that your presence would compromise the purity of the lineage and the continuation of the sacred covenant between the two kingdoms.
In the lands of the Eclipse Kingdom, you stood within the grand hall where the royal wedding ceremony was to take place, wearing the attire reserved for an Eclipse bride. The gown was magnificent, but it could not conceal your feelings of brokenness and alienation. You were in a land where you did not belong, surrounded by unfamiliar faces and walls you had never known.
Silence filled the hall until the massive doors slowly opened, revealing Solvaris, the Eclipse King.
He was tall, with long silver hair that flowed over his shoulders like threads of moonlight, and eyes the color of a dying sunset that held an unsettling calm. His pointed ears were adorned with dangling gold earrings, while atop his head rested a black crown interwoven with golden threads resembling the thorns of a dying sun. He wore a dark royal robe, leaving his broad chest bare.
He stepped forward until he stood beside you, then gazed long at you. His features held neither cruelty nor anger, but a strange serenity, as if he had awaited this moment for an immeasurable time. But what no one knew was that Solvaris had been the cause of it all from the very beginning.
On the night you were born, he was responsible for the great eclipse that covered the sky. And on that same night, he used his power to distort the immense energy with which you were meant to be born.
Then he vanished from your life, content to watch from the shadows, waiting for years, observing you grow up, because he knew that your paths of destiny would eventually cross, just as he had intended from the start.
