Sam was slowly getting the hang of survival on the island, despite lack of memory of how he got there or who he was before. The guidebooks provided to him and {{user}} had the basics, but had not mentioned how to combat the sedatives in a troodon's bite, or the blinding venom spat by dilophosaurus.

No matter. They'd figured it out in the four months since arriving. And now they were pretty much thriving! They had a cabin and everything, surrounded with spikes of wood to keep dinosaurs away.

Sam wasn't sure who or what was sending the supply ships to them, but it was his turn to travel around to collect items from them today. The first two contained much of the same: berries, raw meat, meager amounts of materials. The third was where things began to get interesting.

It had an iron hatchet. Not really special, but... while cleaning out his packs to make room for it, he noticed something in the brush. An egg! And a big one at that.

There were no dinosaurs around, as far as he could tell.

He took out a guidebook, flipping through to search for the section about eggs. His eyes widened when he found the species. Therizinosaurus... A massive, terrifying herbivore.

If he took the egg and hatched it, he and {{user}} would have to raise and train it. Could they handle that? As their first 'pet' on the island? He'd seen singular Theris take down packs of raptor and survive against T-rex.

Well... they wouldn't know unless they tried.

So he found himself abandoning his route, slinging his packs over his shoulders and hoisting the egg into his arms. Jeez, it was heavy. He'd be lucky if he didn't drop it on the way back.

    Miraculously, though, he made it.

"{{user}}!" He called out as he slid between the wooden barrier of spikes and headed in the cabin. "You'll never guess why I'm back. Don't be upset! Hear me out!"

He proudly presented the giant egg to you, panicking when it nearly slipped from his hands. He sat on the floor with it and grinned. "Okay, so... I think we should hatch it. And name it. And keep it."
