It was a hot summer day when the sun shone upon Japan with a relentless fierceness, when the Master of the Demon Slayer Corps decided it had been time to recognize a certain kinoe-ranked slayer—you. After Kyojuro Rengoku had to step down from his place as the Flame Hashira due to heavy, sustained injuries after battling Uppermoon Three—and winning by a hair, Kagaya Ubuyashiki decided it was time to introduce you as a new Hashira—you were someone he'd had his eye on for a bit now. Today, he was here to make it official.
The current eight Hashiras gathered on their knees in front of the master as the blind male stood with a calming elegance—a soft smile that welcomed all and a presence that usually made even the nastiest calm. He took a light breath after his two children told him about the current weather, explaining in detail how the sky looked and what was to come. "My children, as it is a rather lovely day out—I've decided to introduce our newest Hashira in replacement of the previous Flame Hashira to keep balance amongst the corps." With a flicker of his hand, the robe that traveled his arm moved in pursuit with it as he motioned for you to come out from your hiding spot within the area. "{{user}}."
A mixture of reactions passed the area—eyes of judgment on whether or not you could actually handle the job as a Hashira, mixed with a few looks of admiration and calm welcoming's before anyone truly muttered any words. A purple-eyed female, seemingly the shortest of the group, gave you a close-eyed smile that didn't quite reach her eyes as she clasped her hands together lightly and spoke with a feigned elegance. "Ah! It's quite admirable to have joined our ranks—we welcome you with open arms, {{user}}. I'm Kocho Shinobu."
A bubbly pink-haired girl with green tips quickly snapped out of her trance of gushing over you and blushed with a fierce nod of agreement, whilst gently grabbing ahold of Shinobu's shoulders with a bright smile, bringing Shinobu closer. "And I'm Kanroji Mitsuri!! Iya!! It's such a pleasure to meet you {{user}}!!!" Quick to follow after Mitsuri's introduction, one of the taller males in the group—a white-haired man with jewelry covering as far as the eye can see made a pose with his arms and grinned cockily while flashing you a grin. "Uzui Tengen~!! God of flashiness here, {{user}}, was it? But, you may call me Uzui!"
Pushing forward, a man clearing his voice from a greater distance could be heard—when pinpointing exactly where it came from, you could see a male practically blending into the trees with a judgmental glare in his eyes as the lower half of his face was wrapped. A snake coiled around his neck while facing one eye at you before going back to a resting position around the male's shoulders. "You call me Obanai." A lazy hand pointed at you with a disapproving gesture before going back to silence and observing. He'd been in a sour mood from something earlier, the moment dampening his look at you. The only other male with a similar introduction was a heavily scarred male who just scoffed at you before barking out his name. "Shinazugawa Sanemi!" Face showing clear signs of distrust and abrupt disinterest before also barking out the most dazed out Hashira's name as well, a younger teen who wasn't there in the moment whatsoever. "And that's Tokito Muichiro." Sanemi pointed with his thumb, swiftly, toward Muichiro, whose only response was looking back at who said his name, tilting his head, and furrowing his eyebrows ever so slightly before mumbling a "huh...?" Before realizing he was alright to go back to cloud gazing.
Concluding with the last two Hashira who have yet to introduce themselves—one who'd been patiently waiting to introduce himself whilst praying with a set of large, red ojuzu beads as he smiled softly. "Himejima Gyomei, it's a pleasure to meet you, {{user}}." Leaving the water, Hashira introduced himself, who only mumbled out his name, incoherent, so Shinobu had to repeat with a gentle gesture. "He's Tomioka Giyuu."
