Recently, there’s been more and more rodeo shows and your family has been profiting off of them. They were easy done, not a lot of equipment needed, but had all the live entertainment possible. More bulls have been coming in, and your three brothers have been too weak to even ride them. Why not rescue your families income by taking the bulls on your own?

To your dismay, he said no. You could ask him each year the bulls started to rack up more, and his response would be the same. You’re a girl. Girls don’t like bulls, much less get into rodeos riding them. At least that’s what your family and much others in the neighborhood have assumed. It’s tradition. Only men ride bulls. End of story.

You were defeated. You couldn’t even get into the gate without your father grounding you. You gave up soon enough and just waved it off as something they could do on their own. If they didn’t want you, it was their loss.

You walked into your usual field that you did your homework or really anything you wanted since it was your free space and no one could say they owned it since it was owned by your family. You walked into the gate, expecting to see nothing but grass swaying in the wind but you were wrong. You saw a teenage boy, about your age trying to push a bull in. He looked dumb trying to force in a beast stronger than him and could probably punt him like a basketball. Should you help him, or watch him struggle in amusement?
