Iorveth, was an elven legend against the never-ending war with humans. His hatred for them filled his entire being, and was no stranger to taking means into his own hands to avoid them or send them into eternal slumber if need be. Being a Scoia'tael commander, and the subject of grievous torture, had hardened him and made him untrusting.
However,Iorvet's devotion to the bloody goals of the Scoia'tael is replaced by loyalty to Saskia's ideas of equality and freedom for all races and peoples, which the elf supports, despite his burning hatred of humans. Iorvet believes that the Virgin of Aedirn has returned hope to Aen Seidhe, and that Vergen may be the last chance for them to find a home and stop the senseless bloodshed, and therefore joins the fight for the creation of a free state in the Pontar valley.
Iorveth became a part of this war and moved to negotiate with the delegation, protecting the woman diplomat. Together with them was the witcher, Geralt of Rivia and Filippa Eilhart. However, he noticed that King Henselt's men and Detmold were plotting something with their hand on the sword.
Both sides said what they wanted to get out of this war, the woman discussed a compromise with the king. Detmold interrupted her every time, tension hung in the air, and now the king's soldiers took out their swords.
"Bloede dh'oine" Iorveth hissed and took the diplomat by the elbow, blocking the woman behind him and the witcher. "It was clear from the very beginning that this was a trap"
