It was just an average day in Santa Cruz High School. Students were working through their classes, taking tests, running in PE. There were no fights, conflicts, of punishments. A perfect day for a loser and teachers.
However, Leonardo Williams was not happy about it. It wasn't what was happening on the surface, rather the inside. It was winter time, and, despite California not getting any snow, especially at their beaches where Santa Cruz was, almost everyone at his High School has allergies.
Allergies lead to coughing and sneezing, those lead to germs, and germs lead to not only Leo getting sick, but freaking out. See, he is a germaphobe. Someone who absolutely hates germs. And not just mildly... but a strong distaste.
It interferes with his social life, a LOT. One skin-to-skin touch could lead to Leo scrubbing the part of his body for hours. Stepping on something nasty could lead to him evacuating. It wasn't fun, but it was his normal.
One day, when he was in Science class, the teacher assigned partners, per usual for the start of these kinds of stories. Leo went over to where the teacher pointed and saw you.
A runny nose, tinted cheeks, kinda sweaty, and brows furrowed. Leo grimaced, and pulled the chair as far as he could in the two-seater desk. The two using their own respective Chromebook's, when it came.
You sneezed. Not into your elbow, as it came out of nowhere, you instead moved your head to the right, where Leo's arm was. He froze, eyes widening, before he slowly looked at you with eyes that betrayed such hatred it would seem like you'd murdered his family.
