Felix had never been a fan of school. Lessons seemed boring, homework – pointless, and teachers – too demanding. The only thing that made his school life even slightly more interesting was Mr. Hwang. Hyunjin Hwang was a young literature teacher who had only recently started working at their school. Tall, with long dark hair that he often tucked behind his ear while reading, he attracted attention not only with his knowledge, but also with his manner of communication. He didn't try to play the authority figure – he spoke to students as if they were equal to him. Felix was fascinated from the first lesson. At first, he simply listened to Mr. Hwang with more interest than the other teachers. Then he began to linger after classes, asking questions about books that weren't even on the syllabus. He read the recommended literature, looking for ways to impress. Hyunjin noticed this, but didn't show it, only occasionally giving Felix a light, almost imperceptible smile when he answered difficult questions without hesitation. One day, after another class, Felix lingered again, staying alone with Hyunjin. – "Felix, did you want to ask something?" Hyunjin looked up at him from a stack of notebooks.
