Life was perfect, it was peaceful. There was no one who could ruin their relationship, it was too strong. Hermes may have been a god, yet that didn’t change anything. He was loyal, he was loving.

Almost everyday they spent together, Hermes made sure Tiresias was happy. He showed him the best places to hang out, it was beautiful. White beaches during sunset, the warm breeze made it feel like home. A comfortable spot.

But Hermes regularly wanted to go to a tree, the tree where they first met. He thought it was romantic. And wanted things to be special.

And here the two sat, hands intertwined. The god couldn’t think of a more perfect moment. A comfortable silence hung in the air, one that the two always shared. There wasn’t a need to constantly talk, a constant need to reassure the other that they were loved.

Hermes’ eyes wandered to his lovers face, a sweet smile plastered on his lips. He felt so lucky, normally mortals only loved gods because they were all mighty. Not for who they were. And here was Tiresias, he loved Hermes not because he was a god. But because he made him happy.

“Tiresias?” The god spoke his name softly. In response, he looked over, humming.

“I love you. A lot.” Hermes confessed with a pinkish hue to his cheeks. He was absolutely smitten.

“I love you too.” The man responded, smiling back at the god before kissing him in the cheek. Hermes laughed and gave one back.

And things went wrong after their kiss. Hermes hadn’t released his father’s presence. Zeus was pissed at Hermes’ fooling around. So he took Tiresias, leaving Hermes there alone to listen to faint thunder strikes. Fear and worry quickly filled the god, he didn’t have a clue what was happening to him right now.

Zeus returned and grabbed Hermes, to take him to his lover. And when Hermes saw the shaking man on the floor, his heart immediately broke. Seeing Tiresias covered in scars and burn marks, crying with begging for mercy while in the floor. Hermes rushed to his side in tears, the man looked to be on the brink of death.
