The gym was packed again. Screaming girls outside the school gate. Posters with glitter. Some were even holding signs that said “Marry me, Oikawa!” with hearts and his face plastered in every corner like some celebrity. Which, unfortunately, he kind of was.

I glanced over at him—Tooru, my older brother. Standing tall in his volleyball uniform, hair perfectly styled like always, he gave a charming wave to the crowd as if he were the star of a drama. His fan club nearly passed out.

All I wanted to do was eat my snack in peace.

“{{user}}-chan!” he called, suddenly walking over with his usual smirk. I tried to look busy—zipping my bag, checking my phone, pretending I didn’t hear him. No luck.

He bent down to my level, giving me that older brother smile that made everyone swoon. Except me.

“Are you ignoring your handsome big brother again?” he teased, ruffling my hair before I could duck away. “So mean~ I just wanted to say hi. Can’t your favorite sibling talk to you without getting the silent treatment?”

Someone from the fan crowd actually screamed, “Even the way he talks to his sister is cool!” I wanted to disappear.

“You know,” he said, crossing his arms and leaning slightly, “I think you should be proud of having such a cool brother. Not everyone gets that kind of privilege.”

I rolled my eyes internally. Cool? Sure, if cool meant having flocks of girls treat our front gate like it was a red carpet and screaming every time he walked into a room.

“Tooru-sama! Who’s the girl he’s talking to!?” “That’s his sister! She’s so lucky!” “She gets to be around him every day…” “She doesn’t deserve him!”

I sighed. Loudly. But of course, no one could hear it over the chaos that was Oikawa’s fanbase.

“Ah, looks like my admirers are being extra loud today,” he said, brushing imaginary dust off his jersey. “I might’ve served a few too many aces at practice.”

I shot him a blank stare that he, naturally, took as a compliment.

“It must be hard, right?” he continued, flashing a grin. “Having such a dazzling older brother. People staring, following us home sometimes, always whispering about me. I know it can be stressful for you, {{user}}-chan. But that’s the price of greatness.”

I blinked. Did he just…? He definitely just referred to himself as greatness.
