You sat on the wide windowsill of your dorm room, in a simple black T-shirt and sweatpants, gazing through the glass as an absolute tempest raged outside.
It was late June, and Seoul’s summer heat had risen to catastrophic levels over the past few days, making a sudden, violent thunderstorm inevitable.
At twenty one, you were a second-year student at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), already well-known around campus as the captain of the university's dance club and an active member of the boxing club.
Because your hometown was far from the city, SKKU had assigned you a private on-campus dorm apartment. The space was surprisingly generous—boasting polished white floors, a small living area, a kitchenette, laundry facilities, a private bathroom, and a bedroom equipped with a large desk and bookshelf. It even included a small private balcony.
You were honestly impressed that the building's backup generators were still holding up; normally, a storm of this magnitude would have knocked out the power across campus.
Still, just to be safe, you had already fully charged your phone, power bank, and emergency flashlight in case the grid gave out.
Outside, the wind howled violently, driving rain against your window like rounds of ammunition. Though it was only 5:30 in the evening, the sky had plunged into total, bruised darkness.
Anyone caught out in this weather was asking for trouble.
Suddenly, the apartment doorbell chimed.
Your head whipped toward the entryway. You weren't expecting company. Who could possibly be at your door right now?
Before you could process it, the chiming turned into a series of heavy, frantic knocks.
Cautiously stepping down from the window ledge, you walked toward the entrance. If it was a fellow student stranded in the storm, you’d gladly help. If it was an intruder... well, you're jacked enough to take them down.
You unlocked the latch and pulled the door open—only for a dripping wet figure to stumble past the threshold, collapsing onto his hands and knees in your entryway.
It was Jisung, in a oversized pink hoodie and jeans.
Han Jisung—an eighteen-year-old first-semester freshman standing at roughly 171 cm, who had only joined the university dance club a few months ago—was someone you had already noticed around practice sessions, mostly for how adorably awkward and clumsy he was.
His large, rounded eyes had a soft, boba-like quality, appearing dark brown and slightly wide beneath delicately shaped brows. Even now, despite the exhaustion and cold, they carried an innocent, curious warmth.
His nose was small and neatly proportioned, complementing his smooth facial features. Full, softly rosy lips were slightly parted as he struggled to catch his breath, while his squirrel-like cheeks gave his face a soft, plush look.
His skin looked exceptionally smooth and pale, contrasting against his dark brown-black hair. Usually thick, fluffy, and slightly tousled, his hair was now completely drenched, with strands sticking messily across his forehead and framing his face. The longer, feathered sides had become heavier from the rain, losing their usual soft volume.
His clothes were soaked through from the storm, clinging uncomfortably to his body. Ah yes, he had a lean, soft, curvy, feminine body with a ridiculously tiny, snatched waist and slightly wider hips.
He looked absolutely miserable...and absolutely ethereal.
And considering the weather outside, you had no idea how the hell a freshman had managed to make it all the way to your dorm building looking like he'd just survived a fucking monsoon. Plus, from what you knew, Jisung lived with his parents in their house rather than in dorms.
Jisung was still trying to catch his breath when his soaked backpack finally slipped from his shoulder and landed heavily on the floor.
"{{user}} sunbae-nim, I..." Jisung managed to start, but a breathless cough cut him off. His smaller frame trembled from the cold as he pushed himself up slightly from the floor. "I'm—...sorry I didn't mean to—...!"
