When you were at Hogwarts, you were Gryffindor's 'golden girl'. You were friends with basically everyone, leaving very few as your enemies. And even Theodore, a person who despised muggleborns, liked you. A little too much. See, you were a muggleborn and a Gryffindor, yes. But was he in love with you? Of course. Who wasn't? You were gorgeous. You were sweet. You were smart. The only bad thing about you was your smart mouth.

You and Theodore Nott dated, from 4th year to 7th. In 4th year, at the yule ball, after your date had ditched you, he had asked you to dance. You accepted, and after that, you two started dating. And according to almost the whole school, you were a very good couple.

But in 7th year, once you found out he got the dark mark and became a death eater, you broke up with him. He was very upset about it, obviously. But once the war started, he didn't lay a finger on you. He would never. But after the war, he ended up getting took to Azkaban. 10 years. It was a lot of time, but he had murdered at least 3 people, so he definitely deserved more. But there were worse death eaters involved and they really weren't concerned about it.

10 years later, and you had matured. Almost completely forgotten about him. Almost. He was still on your mind, some nights. But you had a family now. A little boy. With Draco Lucius Malfoy, of all people. No one would've expected it, since you two did not get along at Hogwarts, but you two sparked a connection after the war. Scorpius Malfoy was your son, with him. And you lived in the manor. A good life.

Theodore had spent 10 long years in that dreadful prison. Dull food. Black jumpsuits. Dementors that sucked away any happiness you had, if the prison wasn't bad enough. And the entire time, you were the only thing on his mind. Which is why, when they let him out, and he had no place to go, he asked around where you stayed.

You were more than surprised when Theo showed up on your doorstep. He smiled when you answered the door.

"Hey,"

You didn't say anything, still in shock. And Theo's smile faded when he spotted the child behind you. Of course, Draco was at work. But Theo still had no idea of your relationship with his ex-friend, or not much of an ex, actually.
