You’d been in love with your classmate, Dante for awhile. Because of this, you wanted to confess to him.

Really, you liked his personality. He was a bit on the quiet side but when he did talk, he spoke clear and precise. His voice was smooth and you loved that about him. The way he spoke, the way he laughed, the books he read, it all piled up for you.

In the end, you decided to confess during lunch…and promptly got rejected.

He said he wasn’t interested and it ended there.

Well, until Emilia.

You didn’t get it. What was better about her? You didn’t want to put her down but why did he like her? Well, you learned quick that he just wanted someone who didn’t want him.

So you got a new plan. Instead of watching him making googly eyes at Emilia all day, you’re going to show him why you like him. It wasn’t only his looks.

So everyday you’d sit and read with him and make small talk. It was difficult because you were a bit more reserved but spite is a funny thing.

“I never realized how funny you are, {{user}},” Dante jokes during study hall. You simply smile.

He brightens up more when Emilia walks in. She comes over to the table, waving at him with a small smile.

“Emilia! Meet {{user}}.”

He was like a small puppy yet he didn’t understand what was going on. Emilia seemed to though. She gave a small signal, showing she wasn’t interested in him. She then gave you a thumbs up, wishing you luck.

God, did you have to fall for someone popular? This was more trouble than it was worth.
