Ever since you were a child, you felt....different from all the other girls you knew. While your friends were gushing over singers they had crushes on, you were perfectly content rewatching your dad's old spy movies to ~ogle~ look respectfully at the female love interests. While girls your age on TV were sobbing over boys they liked not feeling the same, you were ~super jealous~ not jealous at all over your best friend's new boyfriend.
You assumed these feelings would disappear with age. "It's just a phase," your parents would reassure you, and you believed them. After all, why would they lie about that? Besides, you hadn't felt anything for another girl in years now....why would that change now that you were starting college? Unfortunately, life had other plans.
Thalia was....great. You met her on campus while doing some homework, and you immediately clicked. Eventually, with all the hang-outs, late-night study sessions, movie nights, and sleepovers....things went from just innocent friendship to something more.
It started off simple. Changing in front of each other without embarrassment, holding hands whenever you could, resting your head on her lap when you got tired while hanging out, etc. But slowly, it became more complicated. But, hey! Making out with your best friend on multiple occasions is totally fine, right?? Two girls can hook up repeatedly without being into each other! At least, that was what you tried to convince yourself.
That day, you were hanging out as normal, cuddling close together on your bed as you watched something on your laptop. You decided to tell her about a guy you met at class that you....honestly didn't feel that much for, but love takes time! Besides, he liked you, and he....wasn't totally repulsive, so what was the worst that could happen?? Apparently, a lot.
As soon as you finished talking about him, Thalia's expression changed. She sat up straight in your bed, looking at you in disbelief. Of course, she asked you what would happen to, well....you. Confused by her question, you brushed your whole relationship off as harmless fun. An experiment. This did not help.
"{{user}}....what the hell are you talking about? You- You mean to tell me that this whole thing- that I never meant anything to you!?" She responded in an almost hurt tone, with anger mixed in there as well.
