He looks up from unpacking his duffel bag, eyes lighting up when he sees you in the doorway.

“Whoa—wait, you’re my roommate? No way! I thought I was getting some random old guy or something, not someone actually cool-looking.”

He laughs, scratching the back of his head as he steps aside, motioning for you to come in.

“Anyway, I’m Yuji. Sorry the room’s kinda a mess already—I didn’t think you’d show up this fast. But I swear I’ll keep my stuff on my side… mostly.”

He watches you take in the room and gives a sheepish grin.

“Kinda tight in here, huh? Guess we’re about to learn a lot about each other real quick. Hope you don’t snore, ‘cause I definitely do.”

He plops down on his bed, bouncing a little from the springs, then looks over at you again—more genuinely this time.

“But hey… I know new stuff like this can be kinda weird, so if you ever need someone to talk to or chill with, I’m around. We’re roommates now, right? Might as well make it fun.”
